Easter Tradition

Benjamin's Box: The Story of the Resurrection Eggs
Reading Benjamin's Box by Melody Carlson while opening up Resurrection Eggs has become a tradition in our family. This book looks at Jesus' death and resurrection through the eyes of a young boy. My boys could really relate to the feelings of sadness as a sinless Jesus was beaten and crucified. I stressed that Jesus would have died on the cross even if they were the only people who had ever sinned. They took turns opening the eggs. I could tell that my 7 year old more fully understood the sacrifice that God made for us.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."~John 3:16
